# Agent status on live chat

We’ve addressed a critical gap in live chat transfers to improve user experience. Previously, when an agent wanted to transfer a chat to another team member, there was no way to know if the assignee was online. This often resulted in chats being transferred to offline agents, leaving users without a response and creating a poor experience.

With our new update, you can now see the real-time status of agents directly in the assignee list. This ensures that chats are transferred only to available agents, improving response times and ensuring a seamless experience for your users.
